A STUNNING HISTORIC SANTA MARGARITA RANCH WEDDING

Grace and Mike met through a mutual friend while at Coachella. This friend ended up being their maid-of-honor at their Santa Margarita Ranch wedding. Although they briefly met, each other Grace left a lasting impression on Mike. Since they were living on different coasts, Mike in LA and Grace in New York City, they spent the better part of a year trying to get their paths to cross during work events but always missing each other.

A year later, at Coachella, it finally happened, and they fell for each other over their time together. Grace had already been interviewing for jobs in LA, and she was offered a position the day she returned to NYC. After a first date to Mike’s brother’s wedding and a big move across the country, they sealed their love.

Their wedding was a mix of rustic and elegant at the Historic Santa Margarita Ranch in San Luis Obispo. Their reception was under a stunning tree, with string lights setting the tone for the rest of the evening. The groom made custom-illustrated wedding party cards for the ceremony.

They decorated the barn with string lights, one large farm table for the wedding party, and circular tables for guests, with stunning organic-style arrangements filling the middle of the tables. This Santa Margarita Ranch wedding featured charcuterie boards placed on tables, lending a family-style relaxed appetizer for guests as they found their seats.

Mike’s Favorite Memory

As I walked out to the ceremony space, I looked out, nervous from all the attention, and immediately busted out laughing. My uncle was holding an iPad over his head in the front row, and my grandmother, who couldn't travel, was waving wildly at me over Facetime.

 Grace’s Favorite Memory

Oh my gosh, there are so many. Right before I went to walk down the aisle, my dad pointed out that there was a bee stuck in the layers of tulle on my dress. My amazing photographer threw the tulle up over my head while my wedding coordinator frantically tried to get it out. It got us all laughing as I started to walk down and was met with everyone I love all in one place and ready to celebrate with us. It was such a magical, surreal feeling!
