INTIMATE RESTAURANT WEDDING IN SILVERLAKE
Isaac and Nolwen's intimate restaurant wedding is a testament to love, individuality, and celebration. I love how many personal details they incorporated, and I am happy to look back at their wedding today.
Isaac and Nolwen's journey began in the most unexpected of places - at a mutual friend's birthday party. It was one of those chance encounters that felt destined from the start. From that moment on, their connection only grew stronger, fueled by laughter, shared interests, and intense eye contact that spoke volumes.
Their engagement story is from a romantic movie - a Christmas proposal on their balcony as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow on their love-filled moment.
When it came to choosing the perfect location for their wedding, Isaac and Nolwen knew they wanted something intimate and authentic, reflective of their personalities. Edendale, a charming restaurant in the heart of Los Angeles, captured their hearts instantly. With its cozy ambiance and delicious vegan menu, it was the ideal setting for their restaurant wedding celebration.
Their ceremony, officiated by Rabbi Barry Tuchman, blended Jewish traditions with personal touches, including a heartfelt exchange of vows and a lively horah dance. A live salsa band, Colombian Latin Soul, kept the dance floor packed all night long, honoring Nolwen's Colombian heritage and love for salsa music.
As avid Star Trek fans, Isaac and Nolwen's wedding also paid homage to their favorite sci-fi series, from their first dance song to the Star Trek-themed cake topper. And in a nod to their vegan lifestyle, the entire menu, including the delectable wedding cake, was completely plant-based.
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Isaac and Nolwen's restaurant wedding was a testament to resilience and the power of love. With last-minute changes and cancellations, they embraced the uncertainty and focused on what truly mattered - celebrating their commitment surrounded by loved ones
In the end, Isaac and Nolwen's wedding was more than just a celebration of love - it was a testament to the beauty of embracing individuality, cherishing cultural traditions, and finding joy in life's most precious moments. And as their photographer, I couldn't have been more grateful to bear witness to their love story. You can see more of their wedding on the Antibride blog here.
