A STUNNING KORAKIA PENSIONE WEDDING IN PALM SPRINGS
Antonia and Patrick’s story began at the bustling offices of Funny Or Die, where Antonia worked in Los Angeles and Patrick in Silicon Valley. Their paths crossed again after Patrick left the company, rekindling their connection at an event. Their romance blossomed despite the distance, and after two and a half years of dating, Patrick proposed on a perfect day in Los Angeles. Following their engagement, Antonia moved to San Francisco in August, and they tied the knot in September at their stunning Korakia Pensione wedding.
Choosing the Perfect Palm Springs Venue
Palm Springs was an easy choice for Antonia and Patrick, who had spent many vacations there together. They wanted a destination that felt like a getaway for their guests while being easily accessible. Korakia Pensione, with its intimate and unique charm, stood out as the perfect spot. Its blend of Mediterranean and Moroccan themes provided a stunning backdrop for their celebration.
Vibrant Colors and Personal Touches
Sticking to the aesthetic of Korakia Pensione for their wedding, Antonia and Patrick incorporated bright pops of color, mainly pinks and reds, and citrus elements to complement the venue's natural beauty. Their primary focus was ensuring the wedding felt personal and authentically "them." They prioritized guest comfort, a festive atmosphere, and easy access to drinks!
Antonia's wedding dress was particularly special. She wore the Rosa gown by Grace Loves Lace, adorned with large white roses in lace, in honor of her paternal grandmother, Rosa Bianca.
A Memorable Ceremony: A Chorus of Love
For both Antonia and Patrick, the most memorable part of their wedding day was their ceremony. Their community came together to sing "That's What Friends Are For," led by a dear friend who officiated the wedding. The sight and sound of their loved ones united in song was incredibly personal and beautiful, creating a moment they will never forget.
The couple exchanged vows they had written themselves. Antonia also made a special vow to her new stepdaughter, Aftyn, moving everyone to tears.
Unique and Memorable Wedding Details
Antonia and Patrick's Korakia Pensione wedding was filled with unique touches which started as soon as the guests arrived for the weekend. Everyone received a warm welcome with personalized notes and lemon cookies from Mardy’s Munchies. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they served churros and had a Ben & Jerry's ice cream cart after a delicious Mexican dinner. They ended the reception with a school bus ride to an after-party at the Tonga Hut, a lively tiki bar.
Wedding Planning Advice from the Couple
Antonia, an event planner herself, highly recommends hiring a month-of or day-of coordinator to manage the myriad details of a wedding. This allows the couple to enjoy their special day without the stress of last-minute issues. Having a professional handle everything ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience for the couple and their guests.
