A RELAXED ITALIAN-INSPIRED BODEGA LOS ALAMOS WEDDING
Courtney and Chris had a stunning, laid-back Bodega Los Alamos wedding that drew inspiration from Italy. They met while playing in a recreational baseball league as rivals on opposing teams. When Chris was up at bat, Courtney first said to Chris, “Move in, everybody easy out.” After that, she decided to make the first move by messaging him after the game, and they soon went on their first date in Los Angeles.
Courtney and Chris love California for its natural beauty, and they wanted their wedding day in Los Alamos to reflect that. They set out to find a stunning venue that would fit the bill and found what they were looking for at the Bodega in Los Alamos, nestled right in the middle of live oaks in wine country.
The couple and their vendor team were inspired by the laid-back feel of the Italian countryside, which led them to use a natural color palette with organic floral arrangements. A huge hit for the guests was the grazing board during cocktail hour, which featured cheese, fruit, crackers, and pickled vegetables.
Favorite Memory
“The first look was very memorable for us as it was before any of the guests arrived, and it gave us time to just be with each other before the ceremony. I remember being very nervous to see Chris even though we had been together for 5 years. When we exchanged vows, we wrote our own, and even though we said them in front of people, it felt like it was just Chris and I talking and confessing our love and commitment to each other.”
What was the most challenging part about planning your wedding?
“Dealing with so many requests and big personalities. If I could do it again, I'd ignore all of that.”
